Michael Bay films | Relevant themes | Brainstorm

The film director I want to promote is Michael Bay. Reason being that I thought a lot of films that I knew he had made had a strong image to them what can be fun and playful to use as inspiration to my work for this brief.

- Transformers
- Pain & Gain
- Bad Boys
- Pearl Harbour
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre
- The Purge

All these films have a consistent theme which is having 2 main characters. Transformers has a good robot and bad robot. Pain & Gain has Mark Walhburg and Dwayne Johnson are two main characters. Pearl harbour is about two guys over a girl. Bad boys is about two guys. So a theme of '2' came up which was interesting a may spark some ideas...

A lot of films he does are action or horror. Which obviously can be a base for a visual theme. A lot of dark colours and red colours appear within this theme.
