It is May the 17th so I have just over two weeks to produce 3 posters. I have booked holiday off work for these designs. My birthday is on the 24th and I am going to Paris for 3 nights for the weekend so I am aiming to get as much done as I can before I leave on the 22nd. If i could finish two posters before then that will leave me with just one to do before the deadline on the 3rd which is a fine amount of time.
Starting the posters
Using Stanley Chows posters as inspiration, I'm going for a flat 2d style. Constructing the faces with basic faces. Im creating three dolls so three players from the team.
Finishing off Wayne Rooney, I brought a real life image of him into illustrator with me and tried to exaggerate the facial features to make it more evident that its him. Eyebrows and hair is the most important thing, also details on the face are really important to make it look like its him.
To make it more evident it is a doll, I didn't draw out arms and have detail on the clothes or shoes.
