Proposal

I am to rebrand the next World Cup which hosts in 2018. The country it is hosted in is Russia, which means design influences and visual styles can be inspired by the country’s culture. I want to produce a 3-minute video montage video of the world cup demonstrating the emotions, passion and importance of the World Cup supported by a choice of music piece. It will include sourced video clips of goals, player celebrations and fans celebrating to emphasise and engage the audience into the sports most prestigious cup. I want to create posters to promote the competition too; applying a consistent design theme containing a section of fonts, colours and graphics. The posters will be inspired by Russian culture with the concept of illustrating players in a Russian doll concept; each poster will be visually styled to represent the teams country. For example brazil will have the colours of yellow and green from the kit and flag.. My target audience will world wide people of all ages so my design choices will have to aim to benefit a wide group. My aim is to engage the audience with my video to excite them for the next world cup, reliving past memorable moments synced into a strong piece of music that fits I well to the video. The choice of music will be imagine dragons – battle cry which is a slow starting to fast paced epic piece that will resemble a passionate fight in the world cup. I want to embed motivational speeches from famous people such as Mohammed Ali, to aid the passion and motivation which represents the world cup. My poster design will promote the World Cup in an engaging and visually exciting style, Using positive colours and embedding an exciting beautiful sense to illustrate something using illustrator/photoshop to develop an original visual style. Key words which summarise my proposal are: Passion, Excitement, Motivational, Battle and Inspirational.

I feel video and graphic design is the area I'm most strong in and its the area I want to focus in, in more depth. Its the area I most enjoy working in too
