Proposal

To propose what I want to do in a summary:

Technical 

I aim to produce an A1 sized poster, with illustrated letters that spell out the word 'FATE' these letters will be designed to look like transformers, to promote the 4 films of transformers, which will be the evil ones (Decepitcons) and promote Michael Bay as a director. Underneath the word 'FATE' will have the quote of 'rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing.' Which is a quote from the film, by Optimus Prime (Main character, good side transformer). Then I will display Michael Bays, name underneath that. As the brief states the directors name must be included. And for the touch point, which the brief states we must have I want to create a little A4 Poster to go along with it. I will be doing this by creating the illustrations in illustrator then brining them into photoshop to colourise and shade.

Visual

Colours I want to use will be based on dark colours to portray the evil transformers. Michael bays films are normally dark films, as the evilness in Transformers and the horror films he does. The darkness will represent this and make the mood a lot more serious. So Blacks and greys. And probably white for the text for the extreme contrast, so its readable. For primary colours on the transformer letters, for whatever primary colour I use, will be dark. Like shown in the pallet below. But obviously the metallic parts will be silver, black and grey.

Drawing Style

Even though I've looked at Riccardo Sabbatini, and admired his work I won't be trying to replicate his visual style. Its way too detailed, nothing Ive done before. But similarley my style is flat and simple like Riccardo's, but I aim to have shading in my illustrations unlike Riccardo's. So similar but with a bit more differences. He uses a black stroke in his style which is the main similarity to my drawing style.

So looking at this poster done by Riccardo Sabbatini. He uses flat colours and simplistic yet detailed drawing. So if you imagine this gun with colluder shading, it'll be my drawing style...
